At WETEX in Dubai, we showcased our textured Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) panels in a range of shapes, demonstrating how solar technology can become an integral part of architectural design.

Our exhibition focused on the appearance of solar surfaces: their texture, geometry, and the way they work together across a façade. Through different panel designs, we presented possibilities for integrating electricity generation into a building’s architectural identity.

What makes this approach different?

BIPV gives the building envelope a dual purpose: serving as an architectural element while generating electricity from sunlight. Different textures and shapes give architects greater freedom to incorporate solar surfaces into their designs, from distinctive feature walls to larger façade compositions.

For architects and developers, this creates an opportunity to consider energy generation from the earliest design stages, alongside materials, finishes, and building geometry. The choice of surface and shape also needs to be assessed together with solar exposure, electrical performance, and installation requirements.

At FAERS, our aim is to expand these possibilities through locally manufactured solar solutions in the UAE, connecting architectural expression with renewable energy.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand at WETEX and explored the collection with us.
